RE: #7These ill-equipped "elite" forces don't even have helmets.
The dude is wearing a helmet liner!
The Republican Guardsman set his helmet liner down to use to collect eggs in the chicken coop just before the air-raid sirens started.
As he hastily picked up and put the helmet liner back on, it picked up a picked up a piece of chickenshit and some feathers.
Enterprising US Marines dub the "elite" Iraqi forces as "The Chickenshit Brigade".

Oh, wow. You know, I never realized how incredibly POWERFUL our military is.
No wonder Russia, France and Germany are gnashing their teeth and screaming
'stop!' They hate having the world see this display of American resolve and
power.
Each individual in the American military is the absolute best in
the world, BAR NONE.
Say, Diogenesis, why would a regime photographer
take a photo of an Iraqi soldier wearing a helmet with a bullet hole in it, a
tuft of hair blowing through? LOL Did a specops take that photo, do you think?
I worry about our troops. They've been going relentlessly, must be
tired. We must pray for them, each of them.

You can what tell from the gun camera footage what type of Special Forces helicopter was used on the Presidential Palace attack. This was the MH-60L. The second image is from an MH-60L attack on a Iraqi SCUD during 1991.

Maybe I'm just half-blind, but that looks like a hole in that helmet with the
guy's hair sticking through, not a piece of chicken poo. It almost looks like he
must've gotten that helmet off a buddy that took a piece of shrapnel in his
dome. Yikes.

Iraqi men smiling and waving to the incoming American troops. The Iraqi military has been encouraging the civilians to take up arms and fight American soldiers. The Iraqi civilians are not responding to the crumbling Iraqi government's call to arms.
Staff Sgt. Todd
Morton, 27, of Cohoes, N.Y., looks through documents and maps found after 2nd
platoon, Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air
Assault) occupy a hastily abandoned residence in An Najaf, Iraq. The unit
searched several buildings turning up uniforms, communication equipment and gas
masks, vehicles , dozens of small and large caliber weapons, rocket-propelled
grenades, U.S. style uniforms and other personal items, as well as uncovering at
least two Russian-made BM21 rocket-launch systems.
Soldiers from the 3rd Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment hold a position on a
highway leading into Baghdad.
