Contrast Saddam in his underground 'hidy-hole' with the pic last

I am truly looking forward to those who have said Iraq was not part of OBL's
war of terrorism, how they have tried to side track the efforts in Iraq and
still are. Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy et al, Hillary dishing out her United
Nations plea to our troops at Thanksgiving dinner with them; France wanting to
resume their game in Iraq and on and on; shame and more shame on them.
Thank Heaven's for our President George Bush and his determination. Don
Rumsfeld and his command is key to the success of this mission in spite of the
left and other detractors. God’s Blessing on ‘em all!

I have always had the hunch, that the issue of Iraq had more to do with bin
Laden than with MWD's. We could have always bombed Iraq back to the stone age,
but to allow it to become a breeding pit for Al Qeada was not an option. I don't
care if we ever find bugs, gas or nukes, the cesspool of Iraq had to be cleaned
up or NY and Wash.D.C. were going to get it again.

I've noticed a subtle change in attitude from Reuter's and the AP.
Reuter's made reference to the fact that "little evidence" regarding WMD has
been found so far as opposed to their past statements that "no evidence" has
been found.
AP said, "Aides even declined to describe Bush's reaction at
the news, despite the long-sought development that could bring significant
vindication for the war the president started nine months ago," which is
opposite their past position that there was no justification, period.

Iraq | |
|
WASHINGTON, Dec. 14, 2003 -- “We got him.” U.S. Ambassador L.
Paul Bremer II announced in Baghdad, Iraq, at about 7 a.m. this
morning. “Saddam Hussein was captured Saturday, Dec. 13, at about
8:30 p.m. local time, in a cellar in the town of Adwar, which is
about 15 kilometers south of Tikrit.”
“This is a great day in Iraq’s history,’ Bremer said to the Iraqi
people. “For decades, hundreds of thousands of you suffered at the
hands of this cruel man. For decades Saddam Hussein divided you
citizens against each other. For decades he threatened and attacked
your neighbors. Those days are over forever.
“Now it is time to look to the future – to your future of hope,
to a future of reconciliation. Iraq’s future, your future, has never
been more full of hope. |
"The tyrant is a prisoner. The economy is moving forward. You
have before the prospect of a sovereign government in a few months.
“With the arrest of Saddam Hussein, there is a new opportunity
for the members of the former regime, whether military or civilian
to end their bitter opposition. Let them now come forward in a
spirit of reconciliation and hope, lay down their arms and join you,
their fellow citizens, in the task of building the new Iraq.
“Now is the time for all Iraqis, Arabs and Kurds, Sunnis and
Shia, Christian and Turkimen, to build a prosperous, democratic Iraq
at peace with itself and with its neighbors.”

Interesting
comment.
How will the events of this day be recounted 500 years
hence?
The Americans came and saved the sons of Kuwait from a usurper of
true Arab rule. The son bested his father by marching victorious armies up the
fertile Tigris Euphrates valley assuring the the family an honored place in
world history. The fertile crescent was once again allowed to flourish as it had
for thousands of years of human existence.

The video of the oral examination is priceless. Some Military
Officer was really on alert with that brilliant propaganda footage.
Hey
Saddam, say AHHHHHHHHH!
I loved the Eclipse image as well, you have a
