"Not only did these countries not help the Iraqi people, some of them opposed the war and others supported the dictatorship of this bloody regime in oppressing the Iraqi people through the years," said Hoshiyar Zebari during a visit to Qatar Thursday.

"We Iraqis remember these things, and remember those who stood by us and those who stood against us," he said in remarks aired Friday by Arabic-language television network Al Jazeera.

That was training for the Iraqi Army. From what I understand, the majority of them quit in order to join either the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps or local police forces. Both pay quite a bit better than the Army. Also the Iraqi Army serves under commaned of the US Army 4th Infantry Division. I believe that rankles some of the Iraqis a bit.

Another powerful post.

I actually called a local television station two nights ago to complain about a very biased report they did on the repeal of the CA state car tax. I suggested to the report there was plenty of stuff going on in Iraq and China that his audience should know about, without having to be berated by whining grasping politicians greedy for money for their pensions and other pet projects. He suggested that I watch CNN and move out of the county where I live if I don't like it.

This is great. Diogenesis always posts such great photos. I'd like to see more of this happening -- if you are military and serving in Iraq or have loved ones serving in Iraq, have them send digitals of our servicemen interacting with Iraqis so we can see them here. From corresponding with my adopted soldier, I found out that they are regularly invited to dine in Iraqis homes with many of the locals. Please continue to post these photos or our military wherever they are. Thanks!

They isnsisted during Clinton's watch that speaking bad news would create it.
That a recession could be spoken into being by the power of words.
What they're attempting to do is speak a failure into existence as they smugly state that they are the prime shapers of opinion with every opening intro on their shows.

This morning on Fox and Friends, they said that Weisskopf lost his right hand because he picked up the grenade and threw it back out of the truck.

They were calling him a hero because he undoubtedly saved the lives of his cameraman and the soldiers they were with...or at least, saved them from serious injury.

Some previous Heroes!

Early in World War II, the United States 8th Air Force decided to use its heavy bombers in daytime attacks against occupied Europe. The British predicted horrible losses during daylight raids. It was not suprising that the first bomber crew to complete 25 missions would be regarded as heroes. The crew of the B-17 "Memphis Belle" was the first to complete a combat tour. Between November 7, 1942, and May 17, 1943, the crew flew missions ranging from 4 to almost 10 hours in duration. For these missions Capt. Robert K. Morgan and his crew were awarded the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

My first impression was it had to be a High Power but the last time I was at my lease, I had an education between Brownings and CZ's.

Unfortunately, I went the Berretta route when it came time for a 9MM. It's not bad but I wonder about the road not chosen.
