The report said he was charged for taking weapons.
If he is a terrorist, then he and the rest should be treated the same way as
any other terrorist,
as we certainly both agree. Thank you for your
correction.

I need advice. I want to send a window mounted evaporative air cooler (swamp
cooler) to our troops. The company that makes them is willing to do a 24 volt
(military) unit for this.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to Iraq? These units
require low humidity to work. I'd like to be able to get it to them before the
high heat starts up again in early spring.

How large are the swamp coolers you're wanting to send? And what do they
weigh? I have used the postal service to mail many many things to my son-in-law
in Baghdad. It's expensive - but he and his platoon are worth it.

The cooler would fit in about a 23" by 14" by 10" box. They weigh about 8 lbs
plus the cord and packing material. I'm guessing a 24 volt system would weigh
about the same as the standard 12 volt. Someone echoed your comment that postage
would be very expensive and suggested taking it to a base where troops are going
to be deployed and asking if they would like to take it with them. I didn't have
a unit picked out; just want it to go to where it will do some good for our
troops. What platoon is your son-in-law with? Is the humidity low in spring and
summer in Baghdad and do you think they would like a cooler for one of their
trucks or jeeps? Here's a link to the coolers http://www.classicaire.com/
