Debris in a parking lot after an overnight precision strike by the U.S. military
in the terrorist city.

In Basra, Iraq, at the al-Zubayer oil field, oil started flowing again
to Iraqi sea terminals on 6/21/04. The American media, which crowed
when the the flow stopped, was silent when it was begun again.


========= Shatt al-Arab waterway =========

At the Shatt al-Arab waterway, the boundary between Iran and Iraq,
the irregular Iranian Navy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC),
also known as the Pasdaran, this week seized eight British heroes, later
released them under pressure.


In Basra, Iraq, Royal Navy patrol boats, Boston Whalers and British Army Combat Support Boats
on patrol in the Shatt al-Arab waterway.


The Iranian Navy in the Strait of Hormuz.


========= Outskirts of Baghdad =========

Near Abu Ghraib, Iraq, 21 miles northwest of Baghdad,
US Army heroes seized a Humvee containing 20,000 rounds of
Iraqi ammunition. Good job!!!

suggested that it was being dismantled to make improvised explosive devices


========= Waziristan, Pakistan =========

in a targetted attack overnight on a mud-walled fortress
near the Afghan border4.

In Islamabad, Pakistan, Pakistani soldiers examine the site of a rocket attack
in the courtyard of the police station in Dera Ismail Khan, southwest of Islamabad.
Terrorists fired rockets and hand grenades wounding seven policemen.


=========== Nablus ===========

In Nablus, Israeli heroes took out seven Palestinian terrorists
including Abu Sharkh, the most wanted fugitive in the West Bank, today, Saturday June 26, 2004.

Its very late or early - I'm setting up a new laptop for a trip and then I read Diogenesis's "Gotta See This" posts are a bandwidth problem? We pay for the bandwidth! Dio's posts are gold in my book. Need more bandwidth? Charge for it. Make every FReeper pay a minimum after a 60 day signup. Might even consider charging an annual fee to post. That'd allow lurkers but maybe cut back on trolls. Does this mean Mia T and Registered need to find a new site?
Maybe there's a mod or two that needs some 'splaining? Hope so. Grrr! :-(

OMG, you have to be kidding!! The Mods don't like your threads? Too graphic, not generic enough? I don't get it. I am sooooo disappointed in FR to hear that. What is there not to like?

I await your threads for the optimistic clear thinking and accurate news that they are. Please take my thanks, prayers and good wishes with you if you do not return and rest assured you have done a great service in the war on terror and for us here at FR.

FreeRepublic resources don't serve the images. I don't see how it's a FR bandwidth problem.

This has become such a predictable pattern: lots of media attention on the leading edge of a negative development, then the resolution gets buried.
