Doomed!

Click the photo to see the FedEx ad. FedEx is not associated with Free Republic. It's just a darn cool ad.

They should shoot to kill anyone brandishing a weapon, young old whoever. Immediately and with no questions asked.
Rocket launcher? Same thing.
Wanna show off for the camera man? Show off for one of our guys, a$$holes.
This festering boil is gonna be lanced...and we gonna do it.

It would be great to get some snipers up high somewhere, where they could pick these guys off one by one.

One thing I notice missing is aircraft. Where are the AC-135 gunships, the assault helicoptors and low flying air support. Any time any of these ragheads show up in the streets or elsewhere with a weapon they should be summarily executed by overwhleming air superiority.

FYI, our rules of engagement allowed us and still allow us to shoot anyone with a weapon if the start to point it at us or if we feel our personal safety is threatened.

Brent Baier giving update on the kidnapping of the journalists.

Two different cities involving multiple journalists being taken.

Saying this is shifting and developing tactic of the terrorists to try and kidnap Westerners inside Iraq.

Burning Old Glory is bad enough but to hold it upside down, John Kerry style, while doing so is grounds for a MOAB strike.

The AC130 Gunships aren't much use in a city full of hidden shoulder fired missles - especially in the daytime. They are vulnerable like a blimp.

A seperate thought on the kidnapped journalists.

Last night I was discussing the fact that there had been incidents where the media had known about attacks and not warned soldiers about the attack while they (the media) stood by videotaping what happened.

There is clearly an adversarial attitude between the military and the media at times in Baghdad.

Does anyone think that if there wasn't this attitude and the media had come to us when they heard about this new strategy late last year that it might could have been thwarted?
