Near Baghdad, non-Tikritis murdered by Saddam for his propaganda
prepare
to bury their families but must wait for Saddams' forces to arrive for
his
propaganda film.
Saddam's forces murder additional hundreds

The Iraqia are a very different people from the Palestinians, obviously. Only
with a gun at their heads or threats to the lives of their children will they
attack those who want to help them.
The photos of the orphaned children
are heartbreaking. The American soldiers are the best human beings on the face
of the earth.
Dio, this thread is a tour de force. Thank you. God bless

IMHO ... Other than the normal blame America first crowd, this time the media hates Bush so much it blinds them completely. The Dumpocraps are toast if the war goes well, and they know it. So the media has to make it sound like we won, but it was real close. The administration almost blew it, but the troops pulled us through.
BTW look at the market picture. Looks like amplified TV antennas are the big thing going in Baghdad. Local reception must be spotty.

M2's (some) do indeed still have a dovetail mount for a scope but I believe that is just a leaupold spotting scope being held on top. Could be the USMC 10X unertl mounted but I can't see it well enough to be sure.
Stay Safe !

Sorry, that’s not an M-60, that is a SAW or Squad Automatic Weapon, you can
tell by the barrel and the flash suppressor on the tip and M-60 has a much
longer flash suppressor and also the butstock, and upper receiver are
different.

I hope and pray that those fabulous photos of Americans and Canadians
supporting our Country reach the troops in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
For sure they don't seem to find coverage in our home media.

I know these threads take up a lot of your time, and I have huge admiration and appreciation for what you do.
As to the media, they are hell bent on spreading a defeatist message that is
far from the truth. Did you watch Russert this morning? I wanted to reach
through the screen and smack him a good one. On and on he droned trying to
create an image of coalition forces "bogged down in a quagmire, caught by
surprise, insufficient number of forces, forces discouraged", yadayada. Did
these idiots expect an eight hour war?

Yes, that's a 110Ft Patrol Boat of the "Island" class. They're all named
after Islands. There are several of them over there.
Neat boats. Fast,
planing hull on a 110footer. Has a side-by-side 20mm on the bow, and a few 50's
too.

Technically it is a "Patrol Boat", hence the WPB##### identifier... but I'll
cut you some slack... :-)
And yes, I know that it is still called the
"Coast Guard Cutter suchandsuch". But:
WHEC - High Endurance Cutter
WMEC - Medium Endurance Cutter
WPB - Patrol Boat

FBD, GREAT PICTURES. Thanks.
The truth percolating here deserves an Afghanistan FREEDOM UPDATE
========= Bagram =========
In Bagram, Army champion carries her gun as she jogs .
========= Kabul =========
In Kabul, Afghan girls freed by the USA start their first day of the
school.
After liberation, the UN demanded that the women rewear the burqa,
the
sign of women's enslavement. Today, in rural areas of Afghanistan,
many girls are now re-forbidden to attend school. This probably would not
have happened
if the USA took FReeper advice and put a freed Afghani woman in
charge.
========= Kandahar =========
In Kandahar, Afghan children, boys and girls, FREED by the USA play without
fear of being raped by the insane Taliban.

DATE ON PHOTO
A still
image taken off video shows explosions lighting up the night sky over Baghdad,
March 30, 2003. U.S. warplanes struck Baghdad with bombs and missiles in
unrelenting air attacks on Sunday after an Iraqi army officer killed four
American soldiers in a suicide bombing. Some of the most ferocious air strikes
of the war hit government targets in Baghdad in waves and repeatedly blasted
Republican Guard positions circling the capital. REUTERS TV

Sorry , but technically you are wrong. You dont call a Navy ship a boat unless its a submarine, you dont call an Army Tank a jeep, a magazine is not a clip, etc...etc....The only one who has the right to call it a "boat" is the snipe in the hole thats using his own sweat to keep the screws turning.....So says the Chief.
A "Cutter" is basically any CG vessel 65 feet in length or greater, having adequate accommodations for crew to live on board.
I have a jpg of 4 110s riding piggy back over to the gulf escorted by a 378
but I cant post it anywhere...any one wanna help out?

Dio, I'm sitting here watching FNC / Laurie Dhue narrating a segment called
"Pictures from the Front". They're flipping though a number of still shots, and
providing verbal "captions".
I swear, they must've gotten the idea from

Thanks for

About the image in post #13 -- how is it that a Central Iraqi bedouin family shows more support for this operation than Tom Daschle?

Excellant Afganistan pics!
Do you by chance, have the haunting pic of
that pretty green eyed woman from the cover of National Geographic, during the
Russian occupation of Afganistan?
It would be an excellant side by side
comparison to have; a pic of the girl from Russian occupation, VS a smiling girl
of a U.S. liberation pic.
