DANA CONCERT

 

On Tuesday, July 15, 1997 at 7:00 PM, St. Mary's Church, Stonington, Connecticut will host singing star DANA in concert. The concert is a benefit fund-raiser for the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate Seminary Building Fund*. There is no charge for admission to the concert, but there will be a free-will offering. There will be a reception following the concert in the church auditorium with DANA.

DANA is renowned for her beautiful Irish and Contemporary Christian music. DANA has performed several times for POPE JOHN PAUL II and she composed the theme song, "WE ARE ONE BODY" for the 1993 World Youth Day held that was held in Denver, Colorado. DANA is featured on The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), Mother Angelica Program and she also hosts her own show; "SAY YES" aired three days per week on EWTN.

DANA fulfilled a life long ambition to compose and record Gospel Albums, to mention a few: "Totus Tuus", "Dana's Ireland", "Lady of Knock", "The Gift of Love", "In the Palm of His Hand", "No Greater Love", "The Rosary" and "Say Yes". In 1985 DANA published her first book "DANA-AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY".

DANA is one of Ireland's most successful entertainers with her best selling singles and albums, top rated television appearances and major engagements in concerts and cabarets, including London's Royal Festive Hall and The London Palladium. In 1979 DANA was voted Britain's TOP FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR.

Since DANA's last appearance in the Southeastern New England area, she has performed in Europe, Hawaii, California, Canada and extensively throughout the United States.

Note: The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate Seminary Building will be built on property in Griswold, Connecticut. Plans are underway for a formation house and chapel. A grotto was dedicated on the property in August 1996.

FATHER PETER DAMIEN FHELNER

Father Peter Damien Fehlner, Dogmatic theologian and mariologist will be guest on Mother Angelica Live on Wednesday, July 9, 1997 at 8:00 PM.

Father Fehlner is the current superior of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate in the United States. He is the author of many books and articles on themes Theological, Marian and Franciscan. He is a member of the Mariological Society of America and has taught as Professor of Theology for many years in Rome and currently in the United States.
