SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 23-25, 1999

Baltic, CT: The second annual "Bread of Life" Youth Retreat sponsored by The Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of the Church (Baltic, CT) and St. Pius X Catholic Youth Group (Westerly, RI) will take place at Holy Family Academy in Baltic, CT from Friday, April 23 (7pm) to Sunday, April 25, 1999 (noon).

Directed by The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal of New York, all high school and college-age youth and young adults are invited to attend this dynamic and spirit-filled weekend retreat. This year’s theme is "Coming to Jesus through the Eucharist". Talks will be given by The Franciscan Friars and will include topics such as:

-How Does Jesus fit into your life?

-How do you follow Jesus?

-Coming to Jesus through Mary

-Survival tips to stay on the right road

-Teen Morality

Adoration will be held throughout the weekend, along with spirit-filled prayer services, rosary recitation and uplifting music by the Franciscan Friars. On Saturday evening, there will be a healing mass and a procession of the Blessed Sacrament. The weekend will end on Sunday with a mass and final talks.

Over 125 youth attended last year! 225 teens are expected this year due to its overwhelming success...so teens are encouraged to register early. Space is limited!

The cost is $25 per person which includes food and lodging. Deadline for completed registrations is April 1, 1999. Youth groups under the age of 18 require one chaperone per seven teens. Call Cindy Turner (401) 596-9474 or Val Sistare (401) 322-1138 for information and registration forms.
